Welcome to Rei Art

I have always loved working with my hands and using colour. As a little girl I spent hours drawing and making clothes for my dolls. Now those same hands heal, do EFT/tapping and are still making art. Creating with my hands is an escape and sacred work. On this page I am so happy to share some my art work from over 30 years of making.

It includes ceramic bowls and vases from the past inspired by flowers, Monet's Lilly Pond Series, Mathew 6:28 and Pueblo American Indian pottery. Now I love to create cyanotypes photographs, paintings and needle felted wallhangings from photographs I take of nature, still life arrangements and oddities that catch my interest. 

Every piece I make is a limited edition and designed, and handcrafted in my home with love and passion. 

Rei means Spirit and for me 'Rei Art' is Sacred Art made from my Heart. I know my hands are extensions of my heart and instruments of my soul.

If you would like to commission a piece of my work I would love to work with you using your ideas as the starting point for the project. The three  areas I now specialise in include

*Needle felted wallhangings, very small to very large 

*Paintings in acrylic, watercolour and/or mixed media 

*Reiki and Nature cyanotypes using the Usai Healing Reiki symbols as imagery and plant forms. I specialise in Cyanotype photography which is a camera-less technique that involves laying the drawn or copied symbols on paper coated with a solution of iron salts and relying on the magic of the sun to create the final piece which are stunning white and Prussian blue images.

The cost of a final piece  is determined mainly by the time on the project  and the complexity of the design. If there is a piece of work you would like designed and made by me, call or email. I can follow up with design ideas, a plan and price that suits your budget.
